Mezzotint is a printmaking technique that hails from the olden days when time was still moving at a slower pace. I have only recently been introduced to this way of peeling images out of previously blank copper plates, and am rather mesmerized by the meditative spirit and endless possibilites. This one is my very first, capturing the challenge and drama of sailing the Antarctic Ocean. There is no edition yet and it will be exciting to see what comes next
